| Notas | Informações Adicionais: This research provides a qualitative and quantitative ass of surface temperature distribution of some urban areas northwest Paraná state (Brazil) and its relation with the surrounding areas. The main objective is to research the existence of "heat islands" in the urban areas of metropolitan Maringá, Umuarama, Cianorte and Paranavaí city. For this, we used four Landsat 5 TM images, all of 2008. The thermal band provided the values of surface temperature, the visible bands were used in compositions and colorful bands 3 and 4 were used in the indices of vegetation that provided the emissivity values of each pixel for calculate the real temperature values. The data show that urban areas studied did not have "hot islands" as found in the bibliography, where the factor of land use has proved extremely important, because for all dates, the highest temperature values were found in bare soil for planting. Thus, the dates when soil is exposed for planting, the surface temperature in urban areas is more nuanced. When the crops of soybeans, corn or sugar cane are developed, the urban area has the highest values. It was also noted that urban areas are heterogeneous with respect to values of surface temperature, related to the vegetation of each site.. |
